Cristóvão Melo lost his temper 25 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Percival Prestes made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Gonçalo Cestarolli sent off a good shot on target. 27 minutes into the match, REAL VASCO RIO's goal looked a bit too open when Bebeto Cestarolli came free, but Percival Prestes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cestarolli FC's Neno Cestarolli got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 35th minute Horácio Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélder Vinhas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hélder Vinhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Leão in the 37th minute of play. Percival Prestes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bebeto Cestarolli in the 41st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiaguinho Cestarolli in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Percival Prestes saved REAL VASCO RIO from getting behind. Alfredo Fernandes scored 1-2 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hélder Vinhas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Cestarolli FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. REAL VASCO RIO were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tiaguinho Cestarolli to strike the kick off in the second half. REAL VASCO RIO's Percival Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bebeto Cestarolli in the 58th minute of play. Percival Prestes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiaguinho Cestarolli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Luciano Leão managed to get in a good position for a shot. REAL VASCO RIO's supporters rose to their feet, but Luciano Leão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hélder Vinhas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Horácio Damião who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Hélder Vinhas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of REAL VASCO RIO booed when Cestarolli FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neno Cestarolli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Percival Prestes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Cestarolli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horácio Damião in the 78th minute of play forced Cestarolli FC's goalkeeper Hélder Vinhas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bebeto Cestarolli hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Alfredo Fernandes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Hélder Vinhas made a huge save. Neno Cestarolli hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The Cestarolli FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. REAL VASCO RIO were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
