With 11 minutes on the clock, Nuno Lopez commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Fluminense DF! After 18 minutes of play, Ricart Futebol Clube's Elói Donato made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edmílson Simão was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 21st minute Elói Donato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmílson Simão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Fluminense DF getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Jeremias Maranhense hit a great ball. After having played for 25 minutes, Jeremias Maranhense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fluminense DF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremias Maranhense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Germán Kanø could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Eriberto Pinheiro made a huge save. Elói Donato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Edmílson Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 32 played minutes Fluminense DF got a freekick which was hit by Luizão Diniz. Tales Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Germán Kanø fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Pinheiro having to interfere. Noel Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Germán Kanø hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elói Donato stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Elói Donato's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Edmílson Simão skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Elói Donato took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edmílson Simão. Edmílson Simão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 68th minute Claudinei Sabóia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmílson Simão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, Luizão Diniz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Eriberto Pinheiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Edmílson Simão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elói Donato in the 74th minute of play. Eriberto Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Augusto Baiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Noel Duarte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Edmílson Simão made a huge save. A collision led to Ricart Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Claudinei Sabóia hit a great ball. In the 85th minute Germán Kanø shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edmílson Simão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinei Sabóia, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elói Donato in the 94th minute of play forced Fluminense DF's goalkeeper Edmílson Simão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Fluminense DF's goal looked a bit too open when Elói Donato came free, but Edmílson Simão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Ricart Futebol Clube's Edmílson Simão threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Elói Donato, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The Ricart Futebol Clube players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
