Baltazar Chaves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Negri having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonel Vaz was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Harvey Elliott kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Manuel Scherer. That made the score 0-1 in the 52 minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victor Negri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Nacional de Rolândia's Saul Jaen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Manuel Scherer. That made the score 0-2 after 75 minutes of play. Manuel Scherer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saul Jaen in the 79th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Saul Jaen got free with Manuel Scherer in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
