The wind increased when Cristian Insaurralde made the kick off in the second half. In the 71st minute of the match, Chico Ortega got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hugo Araya was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Insaurralde in the 75th minute of play forced CSD Concepción's goalkeeper Nicolás Villamil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CSD Concepción's Nicolás Villamil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sverker Zander in the 88th minute of play. After 91 minutes CSD Concepción's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ivan Cambranes who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Sverker Zander got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nicolás Villamil quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Concetto Mare's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicolás Villamil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Zorros del Desierto had won after a very even match.
