But to his dismay, Viktor Pitoňák quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 8th minute, Eugen Kohútik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Urban Sitár showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viktor Pitoňák in the 15th minute of the match. When V.K.DRINK Hermanovce's Viktor Pitoňák in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MIK Focus ŽILINA's goalie prevented a goal. After 21 played minutes MIK Focus ŽILINA got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Piroško. Eugen Kohútik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urban Sitár having to interfere. Bohdan Smrečko kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Viktor Pitoňák put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Urban Sitár. Urban Sitár made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viktor Pitoňák in the 33rd minute of play. When Viktor Pitoňák came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the V.K.DRINK Hermanovce fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viktor Pitoňák couldn't finish the play. In the 41st minute, Viktor Pitoňák got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bohdan Smrečko got free with Matej Demčák in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 44th minute, Lluciano Jaraba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. MIK Focus ŽILINA's Urban Sitár played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Chvalný in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bohdan Smrečko was the one to do the kick off. Gabriel Tabaček might have been able to make a better finish in the 50th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Urban Sitár. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabriel Tabaček ran back to his position shaking his head. MIK Focus ŽILINA's Urban Sitár played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktor Pitoňák in the 56th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, V.K.DRINK Hermanovce's Daniel Chvalný sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Urban Sitár narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, MIK Focus ŽILINA's Urban Sitár got control of the ball when Gabriel Tabaček tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Viktor Pitoňák managed to get in a good position for a shot. V.K.DRINK Hermanovce's supporters rose to their feet, but Viktor Pitoňák was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Urban Sitár breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Viktor Pitoňáks short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Urban Sitár to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Urban Sitár made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Viktor Pitoňák sent off a good shot on target. V.K.DRINK Hermanovce's Lukáš Krišpín suffered a concussion in the 70th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Daniel Košút's late challenge caught a V.K.DRINK Hermanovce's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Košút helped the player get up and apologised. V.K.DRINK Hermanovce's I-Made Playe was substituted for Lukáš Krišpín. When Viktor Tomko fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MIK Focus ŽILINA's protests and gave Viktor Tomko a yellow card for diving instead. In the 73rd match minute, MIK Focus ŽILINA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viktor Tomko to maneuver through the defense.
