The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Miroslav Šípka ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Urban Sitár was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Miroslav Šípka struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Urban Sitár didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Burning Angels. In the 11th minute, Miroslav Šípka got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bohdan Smrečko took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marián Mikula. Marián Mikula dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 23rd minute, Bohdan Smrečko fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Marián Mikula, passed just outside the right post. In the 27th minute Miroslav Šípka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urban Sitár saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Košút sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Burning Angels's Miroslav Šípka got a free kick in the 29th minute. Miroslav Šípka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urban Sitár having to interfere. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind MIK Focus ŽILINA's goalkeeper Urban Sitár, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Urban Sitár made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miroslav Šípka in the 47th minute of play. Burning Angels were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after MIK Focus ŽILINA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Lapač took the corner.
In the 54th minute, Miroslav Šípka got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bohdan Smrečko in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marián Mikula saved Burning Angels from getting behind. Bohdan Smrečko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the match, Burning Angels's goal looked a bit too open when Bohdan Smrečko came free, but Marián Mikula reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marián Mikula stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bohdan Smrečko's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. MIK Focus ŽILINA's Urban Sitár proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save MIK Focus ŽILINA from getting a goal against them. Burning Angels's Marián Mikula played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bohdan Smrečko in the 67th minute of play. Miroslav Šípka in the 68thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Urban Sitár, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 70 minutes into the game, Daniel Košút cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Marián Mikula was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Daniel Košút recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Andrej Širka's late challenge caught a MIK Focus ŽILINA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andrej Širka helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of MIK Focus ŽILINA booed when Burning Angels was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrej Širka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Burning Angels's Miroslav Šípka was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 81st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miroslav Šípka in the 83rd minute of play forced MIK Focus ŽILINA's goalkeeper Urban Sitár to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute of the match Burning Angels got a corner. MIK Focus ŽILINA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Lapač ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Burning Angels's Miroslav Šípka in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MIK Focus ŽILINA's goalie prevented a goal. In the 98th match minute, MIK Focus ŽILINA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ján Hradil to maneuver through the defense. Burning Angels's Daniel Lapač got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. MIK Focus ŽILINA were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
