With 4 minutes on the clock, Slaveyko Benatov commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Slaveyko Benatov kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Asen Shavarski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Brunko Paslandzhiyski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Brunko Paslandzhiyski managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when Cup2's Asen Shavarski fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cup2's Simo Tuliyski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lyuben Vetov in the 23rd minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, FC Grivata's Lyuben Vetov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Simo Tuliyski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 29 played minutes Cup2 got a freekick which was hit by Rayko Monev. Cup2's Simo Tuliyski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Dzhongov in the 30th minute of play. Filip Dzhongov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute, Rusi Elitzin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brunko Paslandzhiyski came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Cup2's Vangel Dorovski. But to his dismay, Vangel Dorovski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Filip Dzhongov managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Grivata's supporters rose to their feet, but Filip Dzhongov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simo Tuliyski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 45th minute Filip Dzhongov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simo Tuliyski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Simo Tuliyski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filip Dzhongov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Milyo Matrov to make the kick off. The supporters of FC Grivata booed when Cup2 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Asen Shavarski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brunko Paslandzhiyski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Asen Shavarski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th match minute, FC Grivata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simeon Tetikov to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of FC Grivata booed when Cup2 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bogdan Lakov didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute, Milyo Matrov fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Simo Tuliyski, passed just outside the right post. After 68 played minutes Cup2 got a freekick which was hit by Vanyo Girov. The supporters of FC Grivata booed when Cup2 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vanyo Girov didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, FC Grivata's Milyo Matrov tried to score from far away in the 69th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Simo Tuliyski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vihar Borisov, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Asen Shavarski might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brunko Paslandzhiyski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Asen Shavarski ran back to his position shaking his head. Brunko Paslandzhiyski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Asen Shavarski in the 73rd minute of play. Simeon Tetikov kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, FC Grivata's Milyo Matrov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Simo Tuliyski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Filip Dzhongovs short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Simo Tuliyski to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Milyo Matrov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simo Tuliyski having to interfere. A collision led to Cup2 getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Rayko Monev hit a great ball. FC Grivata's Filip Dzhongov got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Asen Shavarski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the FC Grivata players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
