The audience was convinced that Benjamin Lindelöf's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anselmi Oksa was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. In the 38th minute, Ilmo Kaven ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Toivo Hedberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 56th minute, Aadolf Martikainen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ilmo Kaven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toivo Hedberg having to interfere. The supporters of Liverpool FC booed when Karhulan Veikot was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teuvo Karjalainen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Tero Hiltunen notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Karhulan Veikot's Toivo Hedberg. Toivo Hedberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aukusti Uusipaavalniemi kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Ilmo Kaven had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Toivo Hedberg. Karhulan Veikot's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ilmo Kaven was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. 85 minutes into the match, Karhulan Veikot's goal looked a bit too open when Tero Hiltunen came free, but Toivo Hedberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aukusti Uusipaavalniemi's late challenge caught a Liverpool FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aukusti Uusipaavalniemi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th match minute, Karhulan Veikot was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aukusti Uusipaavalniemi to maneuver through the defense. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
