In the 5th minute, Marius Săvescu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Maxim Buhuș. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 9th minute Marin Zdrenghea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxim Buhuș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, AC Ony's Rareș Tastaman ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Maxim Buhuș. Maxim Buhuș yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. After a rather tough play, AC Ony's Luca Bulcă got a free kick in the 14th minute. Romeo Busuioc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valeriu Ţugui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maxim Buhuș made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Rareș Tastaman sent off a good shot on target. 30 minutes into the match, AC Ony's goal looked a bit too open when Valeriu Ţugui came free, but Romeo Busuioc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rareș Tastaman's late challenge caught a MZ Rapid's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rareș Tastaman helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th minute Marius Săvescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxim Buhuș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gică Trică fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Busuioc having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rareș Tastaman to strike the kick off in the second half. Maxim Buhuș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marin Zdrenghea in the 54th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Valeriu Ţugui kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Romeo Busuioc. That made the score 2-2 in the 55 minute of play. If Marius Săvescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the match, Rareș Tastaman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maxim Buhuș. MZ Rapid's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rareș Tastaman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horaţiu Foltea in the 65th minute of play forced MZ Rapid's goalkeeper Maxim Buhuș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maxim Buhuș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rareș Tastaman in the 67th minute of the match. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by MZ Rapid's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rareș Tastaman was slow to take the kick. During this time AC Ony's players had a chance to rest. The corner led AC Ony's Rareș Tastaman to fire away a dangerous shot which Maxim Buhuș despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 73rd match minute, MZ Rapid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marian Domnescu to maneuver through the defense. Romeo Busuioc was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marian Domnescu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-3 in the 75 minute of play. After a rather tough play, AC Ony's Rareș Tastaman got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 84th minute, Marius Săvescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AC Ony fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3. The supporters of AC Ony booed when MZ Rapid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ionuț Lelescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valeriu Ţugui kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valeriu Ţugui in the 95th minute of play forced AC Ony's goalkeeper Romeo Busuioc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute, Marian Domnescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The AC Ony fans cheered their team off the field, for while MZ Rapid had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
