The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Carl Klint's late challenge caught a Wyoming Cowboys's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carl Klint helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, San Fantastico 89ers's Gustav Hjortberg got a free kick in the 6th minute. San Fantastico 89ers's attentive Hans Månsson managed to snatch the ball when Algot Brodin made a throw-in in the 8th minute of the game. In the 12th minute, Gustav Hjortberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute of the match, Thomas Åhlberg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Frans Pihlgren saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Wiktor Ingvall managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wyoming Cowboys's supporters rose to their feet, but Wiktor Ingvall was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frans Pihlgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Frans Pihlgren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leo Pihlwall in the 31st minute. San Fantastico 89ers's Frans Pihlgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save San Fantastico 89ers from getting a goal against them. In the 38th minute, San Fantastico 89ers's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Leo Pihlwall fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 40 minutes into the match, Wyoming Cowboys's goal looked a bit too open when Bo Ekenberg came free, but Gustaf Olofsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Ronny Dalgren in the 44th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by San Fantastico 89ers's Per-Olof Påk. Wiktor Ingvall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Frans Pihlgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hans Månsson to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Thomas Åhlberg notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of San Fantastico 89ers's Frans Pihlgren. Frans Pihlgren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Leo Pihlwall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frans Pihlgren having to interfere. When Carl Klint was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 63 minutes had been played. In the 64th minute, Carl Klint hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Wyoming Cowboys's Ronny Dalgren got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 70th minute, Örjan Bokelund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Algot Brodin made in the 74th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Thomas Åhlberg however managed to control. After a defensive mix-up in San Fantastico 89ers's zone, Wiktor Ingvall stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frans Pihlgren came out of the goal and Wiktor Ingvall tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to San Fantastico 89ers getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Hans Månsson hit a great ball. In the 87th minute there was a penalty for Wyoming Cowboys. Leo Pihlwall stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Frans Pihlgren. 3-0. Frans Pihlgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Åhlberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Wyoming Cowboys were the better team. Wyoming Cowboys's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
