In the 4th minute, Anton Nordin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vänge IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Staffan Julin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Lönn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Staffan Julin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herman Hermansson in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th match minute, FC Bullen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mats Hellström to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th match minute, Vänge IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timmy Clementsson to maneuver through the defense. Thor Grönberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Johnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 16 minutes into the game, when Anthon Åberg put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 16th minute of the game. One of FC Bullen:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vänge IF:s goal. In the 24th match minute, FC Bullen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristian Stephansson to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tor Njurenius in the 25th minute of play forced FC Bullen's goalkeeper Staffan Julin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herman Hermansson kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Bullen's Jan Hedkvist slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thor Grönberg. That made the score 1-2 after 29 minutes of play. In the 35th minute, FC Bullen's Eric Johnsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walter Bark during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 40th minute, Walter Bark hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Anthon Beneth fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vänge IF's protests and gave Anthon Beneth a yellow card for diving instead. 44 minutes into the match, FC Bullen's Henric Vedholm sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thor Grönberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tor Njurenius made a kick off. Henric Vedholm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, FC Bullen's Manfred Andreasson got a free kick in the 57th minute. 65 minutes into the game, FC Bullen's Eric Johnsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thor Grönberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. In the 69th minute Henric Vedholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thor Grönberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Walter Bark hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Vänge IF's Folke Kihlberg got a free kick in the 74th minute. Kristian Stephansson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Thor Grönberg. Vänge IF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Henric Vedholm blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thor Grönberg having to make a save. The supporters of FC Bullen booed when Vänge IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tor Njurenius didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Eric Johnsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Bullen's supporters rose to their feet, but Eric Johnsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thor Grönberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anthon Beneth hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Thor Grönberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Johnsson in the 82nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Vänge IF defense, Eric Johnsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thor Grönberg. The Vänge IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thor Grönberg should have stopped the shot. In the 85th minute, Henric Vedholm ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thor Grönberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. After a defensive mix-up in Vänge IF's zone, Eric Johnsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thor Grönberg came out of the goal and Eric Johnsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thor Grönberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Johnsson in the 94th minute of the match. If Henric Vedholm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Bullen walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
