Ulf Björk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Fyrktorget FK's zone, Ulf Björk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Douglas Ersman came out of the goal and Ulf Björk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils-Erik Smitt in the 6th minute of play forced Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's goalkeeper Kennet Finnman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nils Vennersten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Ersman having to interfere. Pål Dahlberg got a throw-in 12 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Joseph Wallin. The supporters of Fyrktorget FK booed when Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulf Björk didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Fyrktorget FK's Mårten Ahlström got a free kick in the 15th minute. Douglas Ersman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Börge Palmkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 19th match minute, Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Johansson to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute, Brian Eckegren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulf Björk struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Douglas Ersman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK. The audience thought a goal was coming when Börge Palmkvist got free with Douglas Ersman in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 29 minutes, Nils Vennersten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nils Vennersten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Douglas Ersman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulf Björk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute Ulf Björk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Ersman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nils Vennersten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Douglas Ersman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Börge Palmkvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 42nd match minute, Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaac Hedin to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Fyrktorget FK's zone, Nils Vennersten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Douglas Ersman came out of the goal and Nils Vennersten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dan Johansson to make the kick off. Douglas Ersman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Johansson in the 53rd minute of play. After 57 played minutes Fyrktorget FK got a freekick which was hit by Nils-Erik Smitt. After 58 played minutes, Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's Hubert Eklund shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Douglas Ersman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Fyrktorget FK's zone, Dan Johansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Douglas Ersman came out of the goal and Dan Johansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Douglas Ersman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Börge Palmkvist went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Börge Palmkvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Douglas Ersman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Börge Palmkvist ran back to his position shaking his head. Isaac Hedin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Douglas Ersman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's Kennet Finnman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edwin Sundström in the 83rd minute of play. Dan Johansson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Douglas Ersman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. With 89 minutes on the clock, Ulf Björk commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! In the 91st minute there was a penalty for Fyrktorget FK. Sven Gustafsson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kennet Finnman. 1-1.
