The audience was convinced that Åke Täman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Östen Walroth was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. 6 minutes into the match, AC Mayonnaise's goal looked a bit too open when Åke Täman came free, but Östen Walroth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sune Lidberg kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Sune Lidberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Alf Törnkvist fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Mayonnaise's protests and gave Alf Törnkvist a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 played minutes AC Mayonnaise got a freekick which was hit by Alf Törnkvist. In the 13th match minute, Brothers of Mercy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustav Forssberg to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute, Sune Lidberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Östen Walroth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Åke Täman in the 17th minute of play. Wiktor Jespersson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alf Törnkvist showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. When Mikael Åkesson came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Brothers of Mercy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mikael Åkesson couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Åke Täman sped through AC Mayonnaise's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Östen Walroth. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind AC Mayonnaise's goalkeeper Östen Walroth, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, AC Mayonnaise's Erik Hellkvist ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wiktor Jespersson. Wiktor Jespersson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Brothers of Mercy's zone, Alf Törnkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wiktor Jespersson came out of the goal and Alf Törnkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wiktor Jespersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alf Törnkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erik Hellkvist took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wiktor Jespersson. Wiktor Jespersson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.
The wind increased when Åke Täman made the kick off in the second half. Christopher Dahlberg kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Gustav Forssberg charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustav Forssberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gustav Forssberg hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Brothers of Mercy were furious when Marko Norström was red carded, 61 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Marko Norström kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Mattias Kilstedt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 64th minute, Rolf Albäck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Åke Täman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Brothers of Mercy defense, Erik Hellkvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wiktor Jespersson. The Brothers of Mercy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wiktor Jespersson should have stopped the shot. Erik Hellkvist scored 5-1 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wiktor Jespersson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tor Västlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wiktor Jespersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alf Törnkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tobias Forssberg during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of AC Mayonnaise booed when Brothers of Mercy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Forssberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th match minute, AC Mayonnaise was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kjell-Arne Lindberg to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The AC Mayonnaise fans cheered their team off the field, for while Brothers of Mercy had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
