Julian Corcoran hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Colby Sherwood in the 7th minute of play forced El Canalla de Chicago's goalkeeper Jonah Peck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by El Canalla de Chicago's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Winfred Potter was slow to take the kick. During this time American Airlines's players had a chance to rest. Clark Lindsey kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 14thth minute of the game Clark Lindsey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but American Airlines's Tod Werner was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kent Carney during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to El Canalla de Chicago getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Kent Carney hit a great ball. Jonah Peck came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by American Airlines's Winfred Potter. But to his dismay, Winfred Potter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Kent Carney hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute Oscar Bruner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonah Peck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Clark Lindsey managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Canalla de Chicago's supporters rose to their feet, but Clark Lindsey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tod Werner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kent Carney could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Tod Werner made a huge save.

The wind increased when Colby Sherwood made the kick off in the second half. Oscar Bruner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Jonah Peck made a huge save. 58 minutes into the match, El Canalla de Chicago's goal looked a bit too open when Winfred Potter came free, but Jonah Peck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute, Bradley Cerna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kent Carney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 65 played minutes American Airlines got a freekick which was hit by Joseph McGuire. When Colby Sherwood came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the American Airlines fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Colby Sherwood couldn't finish the play. In the 69th match minute, American Airlines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heriberto Conley to maneuver through the defense. Tod Werner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clark Lindsey in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clark Lindsey in the 73rd minute of play forced American Airlines's goalkeeper Tod Werner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute, Colby Sherwood ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonah Peck was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Thanks to some nice moves Oscar Bruner could shoot a difficult shot in the 81st minute, which Jonah Peck however easily saved by the left post. Craig Rhoades hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. If Winfred Potter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, El Canalla de Chicago's Craig Rhoades got a free kick in the 92nd minute. American Airlines's Colby Sherwood got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
