Independiente's Spencer Salas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Curt Barrios in the 11th minute of play. Gregory Fink made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bryce Ulrich in the 19th minute. Bryce Ulrich charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bryce Ulrich the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to C. A. Independiente getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Bryce Ulrich hit a great ball. The goalkeeper, Gregory Fink, was totally fooled by C. A. Independiente's Julian Dillard, who 27 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steve Napier in the 34th minute of play forced C. A. Independiente's goalkeeper Spencer Salas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Donovan Starkey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dudley Deal kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dudley Deal to strike the kick off in the second half. When Dudley Deal came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Deportivo Rodriguez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dudley Deal couldn't finish the play. Deportivo Rodriguez's Gregory Fink played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glen Gray in the 58th minute of play. Glen Gray might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gregory Fink. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Glen Gray ran back to his position shaking his head. Dudley Deal scored 1-2 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Spencer Salas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Steve Napier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute, Bryce Ulrich got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Steve Napier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Steve Napier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Spencer Salas made a huge save. Raymond Arrington sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Deportivo Rodriguez played a much better game than C. A. Independiente and deserved their victory. The C. A. Independiente players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
