Spectators: 172 (Terracing: 130, Seating: 39, VIP seats: 3) Palmiro Teixeira was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 3 minutes into the match. The supporters of Atlético Micaelense booed when Minho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Palmiro Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 4th minute of the match Gastão Montenegro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Januário Cavaco skillfully saved the ball. David Bulhosa kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Maurício Pimentel kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After 18 played minutes Atlético Micaelense got a freekick which was hit by Rui Freitas. Maurício Peseiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Aldaír Carneiro made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Cláudio Madureira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Januário Cavaco was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. In the 25th minute, Maurício Peseiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aldaír Carneiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 28th minute, one of Atlético Micaelense:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Atlético Micaelense. In the 29th minute there was a penalty for Minho FC. Maurício Pimentel stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Aldaír Carneiro. 2-0. In the 33rd minute, Maurício Peseiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aldaír Carneiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maurício Peseiro in the 34th minute. In the 35th minute, Gualter Carmo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fábio Rangel hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Atlético Micaelense's Aldaír Carneiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Micaelense from getting a goal against them. Osvaldo Varanda took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Januário Cavaco. Januário Cavaco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cláudio Madureira to make the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Atlético Micaelense's goal looked a bit too open when Maurício Pimentel came free, but Aldaír Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Bulhosa kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After 61 played minutes Minho FC got a freekick which was hit by David Bulhosa. Aldaír Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Varela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Barata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldaír Carneiro having to interfere. In the 70thth minute of the game Cláudio Madureira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Minho FC's Januário Cavaco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 76th minute, Osvaldo Varanda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aldaír Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Varela in the 77th minute of the match. When Emanuel Barata came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Minho FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Barata couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Atlético Micaelense's Cláudio Madureira got a free kick in the 85th minute. Aldaír Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Varela, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Marco Varela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Minho FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
