Noel Severiano started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Evandro Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 minutes into the match, ZEZOM TEAM's Miguel Esparteiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Óscar Costa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Manuel Sales fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AM United's protests and gave Manuel Sales a yellow card for diving instead. Lisandro Teixeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermano Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. ZEZOM TEAM's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Hermano Gaspar 19 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Hermano Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lisandro Teixeira having to interfere. Hermano Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Lisandro Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ZEZOM TEAM's Vicente Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute Vicente Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Óscar Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Óscar Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Santos in the 42nd minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vicente Santos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, AM United's goalkeeper Óscar Costa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vicente Santos. Lisandro Mourinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the match, AM United's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Santos came free, but Óscar Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lisandro Mourinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lisandro Mourinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Noel Severiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lisandro Teixeira having to interfere. If Miguel Esparteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Heitor Montenegro lost his temper 89 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a defensive mix-up in AM United's zone, Paulino Nóbrega stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Óscar Costa came out of the goal and Paulino Nóbrega tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 94 minutes into the match, Cassiano Pinheiro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Óscar Costa, 1-1. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
