Caio Palma took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Martinho Nunes. MZ Fénix's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, MZ Fénix's goal looked a bit too open when Caio Palma came free, but Martinho Nunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Altamora FC's goalkeeper Vítor Pádua had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reginaldo Moreira. 18 minutes into the match, Altamora FC's goalkeeper Vítor Pádua had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reginaldo Moreira. 19 minutes into the game, Maurício Mansilha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vítor Pádua. Altamora FC's Vítor Pádua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Baía in the 23rd minute of play. Reginaldo Moreiras short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Vítor Pádua to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Martinho Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eurico Correia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martinho Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caio Palma in the 31st minute of play. Martinho Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caio Palma in the 32nd minute of the match. Patrício Amaral hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the game, Eurico Correia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Martinho Nunes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Altamora FC fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Altamora FC's Caio Palma looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 44th match minute, Altamora FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saúl Correia to maneuver through the defense. Vítor Pádua acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 45th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Silvério Simões. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Celso Baía was the one to do the kick off. Eurico Correia charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eurico Correia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Altamora FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Eurico Correia hit a great ball. Rui Madeira kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. The supporters of Altamora FC booed when MZ Fénix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrício Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rui Madeira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martinho Nunes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Vítor Pádua showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reginaldo Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 79 minutes into the game, Reginaldo Moreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Vítor Pádua was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vítor Pádua came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by MZ Fénix's Reginaldo Moreira. But to his dismay, Reginaldo Moreira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. Vítor Pádua made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Baía in the 93rd minute of play. Altamora FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
