Graciano Aleixo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Lúcio Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 5th minute Nicolau Albuquerque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lúcio Lopes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Graciano Aleixo went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ben Fica could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Serafim Tinoco made a huge save. Gremio Viana's Serafim Tinoco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almiro Camacho in the 16th minute of play. Arrebimba o Malho SLB's Ben Fica got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Gremio Viana's Isidoro Conde got a free kick in the 18th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Ben Fica managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arrebimba o Malho SLB's supporters rose to their feet, but Ben Fica was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serafim Tinoco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lúcio Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Graciano Aleixo in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute Graciano Aleixo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hermenegildo Palha hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After 28 minutes, Óscar Caires mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arrebimba o Malho SLB and the Gremio Viana players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Gremio Viana booed when Arrebimba o Malho SLB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Óscar Caires didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernando Couto kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Almiro Camacho managed to get in a good position for a shot. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 39 minutes into the game, Isidoro Conde was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gremio Viana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arrebimba o Malho SLB the free kick. After 40 played minutes Gremio Viana got a freekick which was hit by Isidoro Conde. Ben Fica sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Graciano Aleixo made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Gremio Viana's goal looked a bit too open when Ben Fica came free, but Serafim Tinoco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th match minute, Arrebimba o Malho SLB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ben Fica to maneuver through the defense. Almiro Camacho charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Almiro Camacho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Gremio Viana booed when Arrebimba o Malho SLB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Almiro Camacho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adolfo Pires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Graciano Aleixo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Lopes having to interfere. Graciano Aleixo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 70thth minute, Lúcio Lopes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Serafim Tinoco came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Arrebimba o Malho SLB's Ben Fica. But to his dismay, Ben Fica quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 75 minutes into the match, Arrebimba o Malho SLB's goalkeeper Lúcio Lopes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Graciano Aleixo. After a rather tough play, Gremio Viana's Adolfo Pires got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 77th match minute, Arrebimba o Malho SLB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Óscar Caires to maneuver through the defense. After 81 played minutes Arrebimba o Malho SLB got a freekick which was hit by Rogério Azenha. Gremio Viana's Serafim Tinoco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ben Fica in the 84th minute of play.
