Máximo Chagas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nuno Lobo came free with the goalkeeper in the 6th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Kevin Vides could save by the left post. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Ivo Saldanha took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Kevin Vides to make any attempt to save it. Sandro Valverde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre França, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nuno Lobo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Vides having to interfere. Tiago Prestes charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiago Prestes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valdemar Vital during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 23 played minutes Exército Português got a freekick which was hit by Valdemar Vital. Sandro Valverde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Máximo Chagas, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After 29 played minutes Cassandros Elite Team got a freekick which was hit by Almiro Aleixo. Valdemar Vital, 30 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. With an all-out effort, Exército Português's Kevin Vides threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tarcísio Alvarenga, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 38 minutes into the match, Cassandros Elite Team's goal looked a bit too open when Ivo Saldanha came free, but Kevin Vides reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomé Malafaia kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The long shot by Valdemar Vital in the 44th minute really tested Kevin Vides's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Kevin Vides took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tarcísio Alvarenga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Laurentino Carvalhais made the kick off in the second half. When Valdemar Vital was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 52 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Exército Português's Valdemar Vital got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Kevin Vides showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivo Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 68 minutes into the game, Cassandros Elite Team's Hélio Maia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sandro Valverde made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 76th minute, Francisco Durães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 80 played minutes Cassandros Elite Team got a freekick which was hit by Almiro Aleixo. Kevin Vides showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Ponte in the 82nd minute of the match. Laurentino Carvalhais hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Sandro Valverde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurentino Carvalhais in the 95th minute of play. Despite being the better team, Exército Português failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
