After a rather tough play, Atlético Rio Cuarto's Roman Urbes got a free kick in the 5th minute. Alvaro Pabla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Everardo Vela in the 6th minute of play. Stronghold S.A's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Bonifacio Ado scored to the left of an out of position Baldomiro Barea, making the score, 1-0. 19 minutes into the game, Astor Arotza recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Baldomiro Barea. Astor Arotza showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Everardo Vela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baldomiro Barea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eleuterio Benvide, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Bartolo Chepe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Alvaro Pabla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 32 in the game by Astor Arotza from a close distance when the talented Baldomiro Barea managed to make a qualified save. Stronghold S.A's players were relieved. Baldomiro Barea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elpidio Haritzeder in the 42nd minute. Stronghold S.A's Baldomiro Barea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bonifacio Ado in the 43rd minute of play. Baldomiro Barea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Haritzeder in the 44th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Atlético Rio Cuarto defense, Everardo Vela kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alvaro Pabla. The Atlético Rio Cuarto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alvaro Pabla should have stopped the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eleuterio Benvide was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Everardo Vela was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stronghold S.A's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Rio Cuarto the free kick. In the 51st minute, Everardo Vela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Everardo Vela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Modesto Gabino kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Haritzeder in the 63rd minute of play forced Stronghold S.A's goalkeeper Baldomiro Barea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcial Anaya got free with Alvaro Pabla in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 70th minute, Stronghold S.A's Romeo Tavio seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Romeo Tavio the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Stronghold S.A protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Romeo Tavio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Romeo Tavio hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Inocencio Napier didn't quite understand what happened when in the 72 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. When Astor Arotza came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Atlético Rio Cuarto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Astor Arotza couldn't finish the play. 78 minutes into the game, Atlético Rio Cuarto's Astor Arotza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Baldomiro Barea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. After a rather tough play, Atlético Rio Cuarto's Bonifacio Ado got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Stronghold S.A's Modesto Gabino shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 85th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Alvaro Pabla but with some difficulty. In the 94th minute Bonifacio Ado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomiro Barea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
