The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the game, Enzo Udalaitz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ACF Fiorentina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CanarioMza the free kick. A collision led to CanarioMza getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Jacinto Platon hit a great ball. 10 minutes into the match, CanarioMza's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Domeka came free, but Silvano Perico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, CanarioMza's Erasmo Merexildo got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 16th minute, Erasmo Merexildo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silvano Perico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Domeka in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 28th minute Jacinto Platon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Videl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mariano Tancredo kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Ivan Clauss short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Abelardo Videl to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Abelardo Videl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivan Claus in the 44th minute. After 45 played minutes CanarioMza got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Platon. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 51st minute Nunez Dodorol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Videl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 53 minutes into the match, CanarioMza's goalkeeper Silvano Perico had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cayetano Berto. Horacio Eutor kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Mariano Rey charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mariano Rey the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of CanarioMza booed when ACF Fiorentina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Rey didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 69 played minutes, CanarioMza's Erasmo Merexildo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Abelardo Videl came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CanarioMza reached it. Erasmo Merexildo struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Abelardo Videl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CanarioMza. Silvano Perico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Domeka, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. CanarioMza's Silvano Perico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fermin Emesto in the 78th minute of play. ACF Fiorentina were furious when Juan Chabier was red carded, 79 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to ACF Fiorentina getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Juan Chabier hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in ACF Fiorentina's zone, Erasmo Merexildo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abelardo Videl came out of the goal and Erasmo Merexildo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silvano Perico was a little too slow when Cayetano Berto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 0-1. In the 92nd match minute, ACF Fiorentina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horacio Eutor to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacinto Platon in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abelardo Videl saved ACF Fiorentina from getting behind. After a rather tough play, ACF Fiorentina's Mariano Rey got a free kick in the 94th minute. The CanarioMza supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching ACF Fiorentina's performance. The match ended with a win for ACF Fiorentina.
