Uriel Leoncio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ciro Aimar came out and tried to block the shot, but Uriel Leoncio slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 17th minute. A collision led to Lapachito getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Lucas Paio hit a great ball. Jimeno Rayman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucas Paio's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Jimeno Rayman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesus Tiso in the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th minute Uriel Leoncio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Aimar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciro Aimar was a little too slow when Uriel Leoncio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 2-1. Jesus Tiso took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jimeno Rayman. Jimeno Rayman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Timoteo Donio kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Lucas Paio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lapachito's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Paio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jimeno Rayman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Paio in the 45th minute of play forced Deportivo Tachito's goalkeeper Jimeno Rayman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciro Aimar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Uriel Leoncio in the 48th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Uriel Leoncio to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Uriel Leoncio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Tachito fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. In the 54th minute Uriel Leoncio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Aimar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Angelo Santos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ciro Aimar was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Deportivo Tachito's Jimeno Rayman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Tachito from getting a goal against them. Marcelino Izel struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Ciro Aimar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Tachito. Ciro Aimar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelino Izel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the match, Uriel Leoncio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ciro Aimar. Lapachito's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Uriel Leoncio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. In the 84th minute Lucas Paio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimeno Rayman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Lapachito booed when Deportivo Tachito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uriel Leoncio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jimeno Rayman was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Jesus Tiso capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jesus Tiso really showed his touch with that goal: 4-3. Deportivo Tachito's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
