Teo Leheren kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. In the 5th minute, Lucio Ursino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Lucas Paio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Lapachito booed when Llenos de Magia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Ursino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicanor Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Paio in the 12th minute of the match. After 16 minutes, Benjamin Palos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Llenos de Magia and the Lapachito players grew even worse after the yellow card. Remigio Abad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jesus Tiso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Nicanor Fernandez made a huge save. Luisito Jokin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Ciro Aimar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 28 minutes into the game, when Flavio Lorenz put in a rough tackle. In the 30th minute Orlando Tajo managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. 32 minutes into the match, Lapachito's goal looked a bit too open when Luisito Jokin came free, but Ciro Aimar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lapachito's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Benjamin Palos was slow to take the kick. During this time Llenos de Magia's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Gonzalo Turi heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Llenos de Magia's Nicanor Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesus Tiso in the 36th minute of play. Nicanor Fernandez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jesus Tiso in the 47th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luisito Jokin was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Candido Gartzea got free with Ciro Aimar in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nicanor Fernandez came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Lapachito's Lucas Paio. But to his dismay, Lucas Paio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. A hard shot 78 in the game by Candido Gartzea from a close distance when the talented Ciro Aimar managed to make a qualified save. Lapachito's players were relieved. In the 80th minute Remigio Abad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicanor Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
