In the 24th minute Otávio Sarmento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximo Restu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 28 minutes, Otávio Sarmento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sarmiento de Resistencia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Otávio Sarmento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Filomeno Tirso took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Maximo Restu to make any attempt to save it. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristo Montes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Filomeno Tirso fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sarmiento de Resistencia's protests and gave Filomeno Tirso a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th match minute, Sarmiento de Resistencia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filomeno Tirso to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute Otávio Sarmento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximo Restu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Basilio Mateus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maximo Restu was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Filomeno Tirso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Maximo Restu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Sarmiento de Resistencia's Basilio Mateus in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Basilio Mateus took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maximo Restu. Maximo Restu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Otávio Sarmento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maximo Restu having to make a save. Sarmiento de Resistencia's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
