Jeronimo Abella showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braulio Mateus in the 3rd minute of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Tetra Pack FC's goalkeeper Fulgencio Eskuin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gonzalo Mambru. 11 minutes into the match, Gonzalo Mambru notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Tetra Pack FC's Fulgencio Eskuin. Fulgencio Eskuin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 18th match minute, INDEPENDIENTE F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nemesio Tabb to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Tetra Pack FC's Modesto Pero got a free kick in the 25th minute. INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s Jeronimo Abella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Ramone in the 29th minute of play. If Alfredo Oier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Hector Leheren came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Tetra Pack FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Leheren couldn't finish the play. Hector Leheren struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Jeronimo Abella didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tetra Pack FC. In the 44th match minute, INDEPENDIENTE F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nemesio Tabb to maneuver through the defense. Hector Leheren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Jeronimo Abella tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Mateus in the 47th minute of play forced INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s goalkeeper Jeronimo Abella to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hector Leheren to strike the kick off in the second half. Fulgencio Eskuin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nemesio Tabb, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 55 minutes into the game, Nemesio Tabb cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Fulgencio Eskuin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Agustin Iratxo fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tetra Pack FC's protests and gave Agustin Iratxo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of INDEPENDIENTE F.C. booed when Tetra Pack FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustin Iratxo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 60 played minutes, INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s Lisandro Gergori shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fulgencio Eskuin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in INDEPENDIENTE F.C. reached it. In the 61st minute Hernan Min shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Eskuin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th match minute, Tetra Pack FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Braulio Mateus to maneuver through the defense. Nemesio Tabb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute, Nemesio Tabb ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fulgencio Eskuin was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Fulgencio Eskuin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzalo Mambru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Mateus in the 79th minute of play forced INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s goalkeeper Jeronimo Abella to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute Gonzalo Mambru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Eskuin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lisandro Gergori took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fulgencio Eskuin. Tetra Pack FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Tetra Pack FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Mambru came free, but Fulgencio Eskuin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fulgencio Eskuin came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s Nemesio Tabb. But to his dismay, Nemesio Tabb quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nemesio Tabb in the 96th minute of play forced Tetra Pack FC's goalkeeper Fulgencio Eskuin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Tetra Pack FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for INDEPENDIENTE F.C..
