Ruben Bernat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Congo Bongo's Hermengildo Olivar took a good shot, in the 24th minute, which hit the crossbar above Benicio Ulizes's head, and flew over the goal. Guanacos's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Congo Bongo. A collision led to Congo Bongo getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Vinicio Gizon hit a great ball. Congo Bongo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guanacos the free kick. After 32 played minutes Congo Bongo got a freekick which was hit by Jonatan Bortzaioriz. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ruben Bernat got free with Pedro Regis in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Guanacos booed when Congo Bongo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonatan Bortzaioriz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Despite being the better team, Congo Bongo failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
