When Fabio Santo fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lanús's protests and gave Fabio Santo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th match minute, Lanús was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabio Santo to maneuver through the defense. After 12 played minutes Desfachatados F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Admon. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Benjamin Cambranes put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Fernando Felipillo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiburcio Mon in the 21st minute of play forced Lanús's goalkeeper Fernando Felipillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Felipillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Cambranes in the 22nd minute of the match. Desfachatados F.C. were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Lanús's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eleuterio Ulizes took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Eleuterio Ulizes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fernando Felipillo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Daniel Turi struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Fernando Felipillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Desfachatados F.C.. In the 27th minute, Benjamin Cambranes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Desfachatados F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 31st minute, Daniel Turi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Desfachatados F.C.'s zone, Alvaro Regis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esteve Pello came out of the goal and Alvaro Regis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Daniel Turi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Desfachatados F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Turi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Felipillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 51 minutes, Benjamin Cambranes made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Lanús's Fernando Felipillo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benjamin Cambranes in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernando Felipillo saved Lanús from getting behind. In the 60th minute, Eleuterio Ulizes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 62 minutes into the game, Desfachatados F.C.'s Eleuterio Ulizes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernando Felipillo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. 66 minutes into the game, Benjamin Cambranes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Fernando Felipillo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Desfachatados F.C.'s Uriel Oro was substituted for Daniel Turi. In the 72ndth minute of the game Benjamin Cambranes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lanús's Fernando Felipillo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fernando Felipillo was a little too slow when Benjamin Cambranes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 0-7. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benjamin Cambranes in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernando Felipillo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fernando Felipillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Cambranes, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 83 minutes into the match, Lanús's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Cambranes came free, but Fernando Felipillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Tiburcio Mon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benjamin Cambranes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Desfachatados F.C. played a much better game than Lanús and deserved their victory. The Lanús players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
