In the 13thth minute of the game Silverio Gumaro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Defensores del Ángel Gris's Aquilino Iruinea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Defensores del Ángel Gris's Teodoro Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, Defensores del Ángel Gris's goal looked a bit too open when Gogo Tajo came free, but Aquilino Iruinea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Defensores del Ángel Gris's goal looked a bit too open when Gogo Tajo came free, but Aquilino Iruinea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 32 minutes of play, The Hanging Tree's Fabio Abaunza made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aquilino Iruinea was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gogo Tajo in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aquilino Iruinea saved Defensores del Ángel Gris from getting behind. After some careless play in the Defensores del Ángel Gris defense, Gogo Tajo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aquilino Iruinea. The Defensores del Ángel Gris fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aquilino Iruinea should have stopped the shot. When Gogo Tajo came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the The Hanging Tree fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gogo Tajo couldn't finish the play. Delmar Markel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half The Hanging Tree were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Delmar Markel's late challenge caught a Defensores del Ángel Gris's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Delmar Markel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th match minute, The Hanging Tree was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmar Markel to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the match, Defensores del Ángel Gris's goalkeeper Aquilino Iruinea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabio Abaunza. Fabio Abaunza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Aquilino Iruinea made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabio Abaunza in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aquilino Iruinea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 72 minutes into the match, Defensores del Ángel Gris's goalkeeper Aquilino Iruinea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gogo Tajo. In the 74th minute, Victoriano Onofre reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aquilino Iruinea. The goal made the score 0-7. After a rather tough play, The Hanging Tree's Victoriano Onofre got a free kick in the 77th minute. Aquilino Iruinea was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Fabio Abaunza capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fabio Abaunza really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. Gogo Tajo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Aquilino Iruinea made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fausto Beliran during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 86 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Defensores del Ángel Gris! In the 91st minute, Christian Heriberto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Hanging Tree's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
