The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Modesto Mikolas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reynaldo Argi was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. In the 11th minute Alejandro Fonda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Argi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Arrecifes's Modesto Mikolas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Reynaldo Argi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 14 minutes into the game, Modesto Mikolas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Reynaldo Argi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Reynaldo Argi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Modesto Mikolas went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Modesto Mikolas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 22 minutes into the match, Reconquistense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Modesto Mikolas came free, but Reynaldo Argi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Melchor Iztal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Marcos Fraco made a huge save. When Bernardo Abad fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arrecifes's protests and gave Bernardo Abad a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 played minutes Arrecifes got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Abad. Marcos Fraco acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 26th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jonas Lucado. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Modesto Mikolas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arrecifes's supporters rose to their feet, but Modesto Mikolas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Argi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Modesto Mikolas in the 30th minute of play forced Reconquistense FC's goalkeeper Reynaldo Argi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Arrecifes's Modesto Mikolas in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Alejandro Fonda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reynaldo Argi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Modesto Mikolas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arrecifes's supporters rose to their feet, but Modesto Mikolas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Argi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Alejandro Fonda fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The Arrecifes fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Arrecifes's Modesto Mikolas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Reynaldo Argi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Modesto Mikolas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 58 minute of play. In the 62ndth minute of the game Modesto Mikolas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Reconquistense FC's Reynaldo Argi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Modesto Mikolas in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reynaldo Argi saved Reconquistense FC from getting behind. 67 minutes into the game, Modesto Mikolas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Reynaldo Argi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arrecifes made a substitution. Abel Egoitz replaced Alejandro Fonda. After a rather tough play, Arrecifes's Abel Egoitz got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Reynaldo Argi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Egoitz in the 76th minute of play. Reconquistense FC's Reynaldo Argi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Egoitz in the 77th minute of play. In the 80th minute Modesto Mikolas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Argi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes in the game, Modesto Mikolas fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Reynaldo Argi having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Modesto Mikolas in the 89th minute of play forced Reconquistense FC's goalkeeper Reynaldo Argi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, Geronimo Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Reconquistense FC's zone, Modesto Mikolas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reynaldo Argi came out of the goal and Modesto Mikolas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Modesto Mikolas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Reynaldo Argi made a huge save. Arrecifes's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
