The Rebelution fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Delmiro Sazon should have stopped the shot. Delmiro Sazon made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Gogo Gentza sent off a good shot on target. Damian Oxarra kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Honorato Feo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uriel Jerrald saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Rebelution booed when Santa Margarita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Heli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damian Oxarra took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Uriel Jerrald. Santa Margarita's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Flavio Misael fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santa Margarita's protests and gave Flavio Misael a yellow card for diving instead. Omar Chumo took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Uriel Jerrald. Uriel Jerrald dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Damian Oxarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Uriel Jerrald made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Corderall in the 37th minute of play. In the 40th match minute, Santa Margarita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafin Tino to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the match, Santa Margarita's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Oxarra came free, but Uriel Jerrald reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orlando Corderall scored 1-3 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Uriel Jerrald, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Santa Margarita players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rebelution were winning 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gogo Gentza made a kick off. In the 57th minute Omar Chumo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uriel Jerrald saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Chumo in the 58th minute of play forced Santa Margarita's goalkeeper Uriel Jerrald to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. During the 59th minute of the match Erubiel Serapio completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Erubiel Serapio a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Uriel Jerrald made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damian Oxarra in the 64th minute. After a rather tough play, Santa Margarita's Severino Heli got a free kick in the 68th minute. Rebelution's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Damian Oxarra in the 72nd minute.
