Dawid Bury made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kacper Gondek in the 6th minute of play. Dawid Bury didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filip Maciejewski went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Edgar Traczewski charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgar Traczewski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd match minute, Zawisza Bydgoszcz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Traczewski to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Krzysztof Nowakowski got control of the ball when Filip Gomolka tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 30th minute Iwo Lewicki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dawid Bury saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgar Traczewski hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Krzysztof Nowakowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Zawisza Bydgoszcz from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Stasio Piwowarski got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 42 minutes into the game, FC Płoszyce's Roch Tobaczewski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Krzysztof Nowakowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Stasio Piwowarski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute, Gwidon Pryputnicki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jerzy Ptaszek stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Zawisza Bydgoszcz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stasio Furlit to maneuver through the defense. Mieszko Wlodyga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Krzysztof Nowakowski. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Zawisza Bydgoszcz's goal looked a bit too open when Jerzy Ptaszek came free, but Krzysztof Nowakowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dawid Bury was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Filip Maciejewski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Filip Maciejewski really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Cezary Kapera hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Iwo Lewicki got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Płoszyce's Mikolaj Skonieczny was substituted for Norbert Nalaskowski. In the 83rd minute Jerzy Ptaszek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krzysztof Nowakowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to FC Płoszyce getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Filip Gomolka hit a great ball. 90 minutes into the match, FC Płoszyce's goalkeeper Dawid Bury had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kacper Gondek. The supporters of Zawisza Bydgoszcz booed when FC Płoszyce was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikolaj Skonieczny didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Zawisza Bydgoszcz players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
