Stephen Sacco hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After 15 played minutes FC Lëtzebuerg got a freekick which was hit by Franz Auspitz. Terry Kieffer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Galdes, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Sliema Dragons FC's Arthur Facciol got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Philipp Lippmann kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sliema Dragons FC's Samuel Galdes got a free kick in the 20th minute. 25 minutes into the match, FC Lëtzebuerg's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Galdes came free, but Terry Kieffer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Sliema Dragons FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Chevalier came free, but John Balzan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sliema Dragons FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Danny Edelmann was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Lëtzebuerg's players had a chance to rest. FC Lëtzebuerg's Danny Edelmann was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but John Balzan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Terry Kieffer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Borg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. John Balzan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Chevalier in the 44th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Danny Edelmann to strike the kick off in the second half. Stephen Sacco hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute Danny Edelmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Balzan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sammy Schmitz in the 57th minute of play forced Sliema Dragons FC's goalkeeper John Balzan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Terry Kieffer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Borg in the 62nd minute of the match. Philipp Lippmann's late challenge caught a Sliema Dragons FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Philipp Lippmann helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th match minute, FC Lëtzebuerg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philipp Lippmann to maneuver through the defense. After 72 minutes of play, Sliema Dragons FC's Fabian Borg made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Terry Kieffer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Terry Kieffer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Samuel Galdes in the 75th minute. Colin Pullicino Orlando hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute of the match Franz Auspitz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but John Balzan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Terry Kieffer successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to FC Lëtzebuerg getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Danny Edelmann hit a great ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sliema Dragons FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
