In the 8th minute, Xove Encina made a precise shot to the right of Euloxu Muelas. Club Getafe Deportivo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Ramón Camacho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Euloxu Muelas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Club Getafe Deportivo booed when Red Hawk Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Castelao didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 24th play minutes Amancio Orozco shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Asteri Martínez and just under the crossbar into goal. Chepe Sampil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Euloxu Muelas having to interfere. Euloxu Muelas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramón Camacho in the 33rd minute of the match. After 44 minutes, Ramón Camacho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Red Hawk Football Club and the Club Getafe Deportivo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 44th match minute, Red Hawk Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramón Camacho to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xove Encina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 62nd minute, Raúl Valerón left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Red Hawk Football Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Red Hawk Football Club were furious when Frisco Carceles was red carded, 77 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 77th minute, one of Red Hawk Football Club:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Red Hawk Football Club. After 79 minutes Red Hawk Football Club's goalkeeper Asteri Martínez managed, with a little bit of luck, save Gabriel Otero's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. Asteri Martínez was a little too slow when Gabriel Otero got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 2-3. After 88 played minutes Red Hawk Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Xove Encina. 89 minutes into the match, Red Hawk Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Otero came free, but Asteri Martínez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Asteri Martínez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amancio Orozco, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Eli Griego hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Egoitz Companys struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Asteri Martínez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Getafe Deportivo. Asteri Martínez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Amancio Orozco showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 97 minute of play. The Red Hawk Football Club supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Club Getafe Deportivo's performance. The match ended with a win for Club Getafe Deportivo.
