In the 9th minute of the match Epifanio Pascua sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fresco Baltanas skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Telesforo De Paula in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fresco Baltanas saved UE Cornella from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santos Olmos in the 15th minute of play forced Puerto de Sagunto CF's goalkeeper Garaona Camino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Alvito Font put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Garaona Camino. Noé Palomares scored 0-2 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Garaona Camino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telesforo De Paula in the 32nd minute of play forced UE Cornella's goalkeeper Fresco Baltanas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, UE Cornella's goal looked a bit too open when Telesforo De Paula came free, but Fresco Baltanas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Garaona Camino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alvito Font's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Maximiano Caballero charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximiano Caballero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of UE Cornella booed when Puerto de Sagunto CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximiano Caballero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fresco Baltanas made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Maximiano Caballero sent off a good shot on target.

After 54 played minutes UE Cornella got a freekick which was hit by Noé Palomares. UE Cornella's Fresco Baltanas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Telesforo De Paula in the 58th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiano Caballero in the 59th minute of play forced UE Cornella's goalkeeper Fresco Baltanas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ekaitz Jorquera during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Puerto de Sagunto CF's zone, Noé Palomares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Garaona Camino came out of the goal and Noé Palomares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alvito Font got free with Garaona Camino in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 69 played minutes UE Cornella got a freekick which was hit by Noé Palomares. When Tito Marrero came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Puerto de Sagunto CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tito Marrero couldn't finish the play. Joachim Zaplana charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joachim Zaplana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of UE Cornella booed when Puerto de Sagunto CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joachim Zaplana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valdo Valerón kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, UE Cornella's Toni Medina broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Puerto de Sagunto CF's Garaona Camino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noé Palomares in the 81st minute of play. UE Cornella's Carles Hidalgo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Valdo Valerón, made in the 82nd minute of the game. In the 85th minute, Santos Olmos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th match minute, UE Cornella was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joey Rosario to maneuver through the defense. Fresco Baltanas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Telesforo De Paula, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
