Vincent Wekenburg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Twan Tieleman in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Twan Tieleman in the 14th minute of play forced De Digitale Dribbelaars's goalkeeper Vincent Wekenburg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FFC Merainies 03's Bertus Waldijk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save FFC Merainies 03 from getting a goal against them. In the 25th minute Twan Tieleman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincent Wekenburg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th match minute, FFC Merainies 03 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arda Bemmel to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Wessel Wisgerhof's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bertus Waldijk was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. In the 30th minute Wessel Wisgerhof shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertus Waldijk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the FFC Merainies 03 defense, Wilco Zeegers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bertus Waldijk. The FFC Merainies 03 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bertus Waldijk should have stopped the shot. In the 34th minute, Arda Bemmel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in FFC Merainies 03's zone, Wessel Wisgerhof stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bertus Waldijk came out of the goal and Wessel Wisgerhof tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jan Hoven during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jan Hoven kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Wilco Zeegers struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Bertus Waldijk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for De Digitale Dribbelaars. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Wilco Zeegers made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes FFC Merainies 03 got a freekick which was hit by Ferdinant Eulen. Twan Tieleman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vincent Wekenburg came out and tried to block the shot, but Twan Tieleman slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 53rd minute. 58 minutes into the match, FFC Merainies 03's Koos de Kort sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vincent Wekenburg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arda Bemmel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to De Digitale Dribbelaars getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Job Tevreden hit a great ball. After 63 played minutes, FFC Merainies 03's Fenan Bemmel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vincent Wekenburg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FFC Merainies 03 reached it. Vincent Wekenburg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arda Bemmel in the 65th minute of the match. The supporters of FFC Merainies 03 booed when De Digitale Dribbelaars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niels Talsma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vincent Wekenburg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roeland Klerk went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Koos de Kort took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Vincent Wekenburg to make any attempt to save it. Twan Tieleman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vincent Wekenburg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. De Digitale Dribbelaars's Vincent Wekenburg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arda Bemmel in the 77th minute of play. Arda Bemmel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Niels Talsma during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 80 played minutes De Digitale Dribbelaars got a freekick which was hit by Niels Talsma. Ferdinant Eulen's late challenge caught a De Digitale Dribbelaars's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ferdinant Eulen helped the player get up and apologised. Ferdinant Eulen hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. The De Digitale Dribbelaars fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FFC Merainies 03 were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
