The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 25thth minute of the game Vincent Tieleman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bierunese's Henk van der Stoel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bierunese's Henk van der Stoel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens Saveneij in the 26th minute of play. Gerard Krijnenburg hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 30th match minute, Bierunese was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniël Kromme to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Maurice Verweijen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 40 minutes into the match, Vincent Tieleman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henk van der Stoel. Bierunese's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vincent Tieleman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Rondo's Ben Brandsma got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

When Rondo's Ben Brandsma in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bierunese's goalie prevented a goal. Vincent Tieleman might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henk van der Stoel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henk van der Stoel came out of the goal and Jens Saveneij tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 76thth minute of the game Vincent Tieleman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bierunese's Henk van der Stoel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Bierunese booed when Rondo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincent Tieleman didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Falco Pluym in the 81st minute of play forced Rondo's goalkeeper Maurice Verweijen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tonnie Cales received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Henk van der Stoel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henk van der Stoel had great luck who in the 90thth minute grab hold of the ball when Vincent Tieleman from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 95th minute, Daniël Kromme left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bierunese fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The Bierunese fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Rondo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
