Marcel Lammers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toni van Beukering, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. When Timmie Wieringh fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NFC Eagles 22's protests and gave Timmie Wieringh a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute, Timmie Wieringh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcel Lammers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wesley Deinse in the 38th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Toni van Beukering stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. De hijgende Hertjes's Jasper Spiering got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jasper Spiering fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jochem Meurs having to interfere. Wesley Deinse received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcel Lammers came out and tried to block the shot, but Wesley Deinse slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 83rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christiaan Been during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 92 played minutes NFC Eagles 22 got a freekick which was hit by Christiaan Been. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donny Rieks in the 94th minute of play forced NFC Eagles 22's goalkeeper Jochem Meurs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of De hijgende Hertjes booed when NFC Eagles 22 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timmie Wieringh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Although De hijgende Hertjes had been in control for most of the match, NFC Eagles 22 still came away with the win.
