Mário Custódio's late challenge caught a Ferrao FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mário Custódio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 36th match minute, Canastro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Custódio to maneuver through the defense. When Róbson Eger came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Ferrao FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Róbson Eger couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertinho Fernandes in the 45th minute of play forced Canastro FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Duda Bueno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 96th minute, Canastro FC's Duda Bueno dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. The Canastro FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
