Nilton Costa started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edson Ortiz during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 5 played minutes TERROR DA MOOCA -DMZ- got a freekick which was hit by Edson Ortiz. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Magno Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grêmio Bulls's supporters rose to their feet, but Magno Marinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Fernando da Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Virgílio da Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jano Alves, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Jano Alves's late challenge caught a Grêmio Bulls's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jano Alves helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Grêmio Bulls booed when TERROR DA MOOCA -DMZ- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jano Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Fernando da Cunha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Magno Marinho went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 22nd minute, Nilton Costa made a precise shot to the right of Virgílio da Rocha. Grêmio Bulls's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Laércio Bertassi's late challenge caught a Grêmio Bulls's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laércio Bertassi helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes TERROR DA MOOCA -DMZ- got a freekick which was hit by Laércio Bertassi. In the 31st minute, Grêmio Bulls's Osvaldinho Cerezo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in TERROR DA MOOCA -DMZ-'s zone, Magno Marinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Fernando da Cunha came out of the goal and Magno Marinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Magno Marinho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the game, Paulo Renato Nóbrega was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TERROR DA MOOCA -DMZ-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grêmio Bulls the free kick. In the 64th minute, Adalberto Marinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Grêmio Bulls's Virgílio da Rocha got control of the ball when Nilton Costa tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Nilton Costa took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Virgílio da Rocha to make any attempt to save it. Virgílio da Rocha made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Nilton Costa sent off a good shot on target. Virgílio da Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adalberto Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute.
