After the first half Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Dráuzio Alvarenga made the kick off in the second half. Mexilhão F. C.'s Luís Paulo Velloso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Mexilhão F. C. from getting a goal against them. Oséias Dionísio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Róbson Passos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frank Mesquita succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 61st playminute. 66 minutes into the match, Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Macedo came free, but Oséias Dionísio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vicente de Barros during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's Frank Mesquita shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 73rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Luís Paulo Velloso but with some difficulty.
