After 6 played minutes, Colombo A.C.'s Dito Silveira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ricardo Carneiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Colombo A.C. reached it. Sílvio Luiz Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Cardoso in the 8th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Túlio Chaves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the match, Nicolas Cardoso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sílvio Luiz Sarmento. Colombo A.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicolas Cardoso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. A collision led to Colombo A.C. getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Tiaguinho de Sousa hit a great ball. David Batista kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Sílvio Luiz Sarmento was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 23rd match minute, Colombo A.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Umberto Sanches to maneuver through the defense. Limoeiro-PE FC's Ricardo Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Duarte in the 27th minute of play. Limoeiro-PE FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nicolas Cardoso's late challenge caught a Colombo A.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolas Cardoso helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Limoeiro-PE FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Nicolas Cardoso hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Colombo A.C.'s Umberto Sanches got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 36 minutes into the match, Lino Correia dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sílvio Luiz Sarmento, 3-0. Lino Correia hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 47 minutes into the match, Limoeiro-PE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Umberto Sanches came free, but Ricardo Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Lino Correia made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Colombo A.C. got a freekick which was hit by Kléberson Cruz. In the 57th minute Lino Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luiz Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colombo A.C.'s Sílvio Luiz Sarmento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cafu Nóbrega in the 58th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cafu Nóbrega in the 60th minute of play forced Colombo A.C.'s goalkeeper Sílvio Luiz Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Colombo A.C. booed when Limoeiro-PE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Umberto Sanches could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Ricardo Carneiro made a huge save. In the 86th minute of the match Dito Silveira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardo Carneiro skillfully saved the ball. If Jonathan Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Limoeiro-PE FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
