The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute, Gernando Nunes made a precise shot to the right of Duarte de Carvalho. Gernando Nunes helped the player get up and apologised. After 15 minutes, Nildo Barral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mochila FC and the TEIXEIRINHA FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 15 played minutes Mochila FC got a freekick which was hit by Nildo Barral. Conrado Rossi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Ramón Veiga when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Mochila FC's Anselmo Campidelis got a free kick in the 18th minute. Conrado Rossi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Ramón Veiga made a huge save. Gernando Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte de Carvalho having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gernando Nunes in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Duarte de Carvalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, TEIXEIRINHA FC's Haroldo Branco got a free kick in the 34th minute. The audience was convinced that Gernando Nunes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Duarte de Carvalho was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Duarte de Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gernando Nunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gernando Nunes was shown his second yellow card after 47 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 48th minute, Gernando Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Duarte de Carvalho was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Anselmo Campidelis showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 54 minute of play. In the 78th match minute, TEIXEIRINHA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrado Rossi to maneuver through the defense. The referee showed Fábio Gaspar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mochila FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
