Décio Marinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 9 minutes into the game, Erivaldo Goiano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Red Dragon FC - DMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ADM Taquaras the free kick. After a rather tough play, Red Dragon FC - DMZ's Erivaldo Goiano got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 12th minute, José Maria Teixeira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Décio Marinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After some careless play in the ADM Taquaras defense, José Maria Teixeira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Décio Marinho. The ADM Taquaras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Décio Marinho should have stopped the shot. Red Dragon FC - DMZ's Cacá Meira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Augusto Romero in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Doriva Ceresso made a precise shot to the right of Cacá Meira. Red Dragon FC - DMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Doriva Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cacá Meira having to interfere. 47 minutes into the game, José Maria Teixeira lined in a short shot 5-3 behind a frustrated Décio Marinho. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Maria Teixeira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute Mathias Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Décio Marinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Décio Marinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Maria Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Maria Teixeira in the 61st minute of play forced ADM Taquaras's goalkeeper Décio Marinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Pedro Antunes fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ADM Taquaras's protests and gave Pedro Antunes a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Red Dragon FC - DMZ booed when ADM Taquaras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 69 minutes of play, ADM Taquaras's Maurício Azevedo made it 5-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cacá Meira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Décio Marinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Maria Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ediberto Varela kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. A collision led to ADM Taquaras getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Lauro Alcântara hit a great ball. If Lauro Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Red Dragon FC - DMZ's Cacá Meira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Red Dragon FC - DMZ from getting a goal against them. Décio Marinho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Maria Teixeira went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-4 was the resulting score. Ediberto Varela charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ediberto Varela the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ediberto Varela hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. When the referee ended the match the Red Dragon FC - DMZ players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
