An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur França in the 17th minute of play forced Mixto Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Thiago Marquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 minutes, Marcelo Valadares made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Mixto Esporte Clube's Thiago Marquez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jefferson Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Thiago Marquez came out of the goal and Marcelo Valadares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 71 minutes into the game, Norberto Arantes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
