Nicolas Vidal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean Corrêa, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. When Virgílio Dantas fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brazil Academy's protests and gave Virgílio Dantas a yellow card for diving instead. Elder da Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rony Aparecido in the 9th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Souto in the 11th minute of play forced Goianésia E.C's goalkeeper Elder da Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elder da Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rony Aparecido in the 12th minute of play. After 13 played minutes Brazil Academy got a freekick which was hit by Renato Melo. A collision led to Goianésia E.C getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Cauan Neiva hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belmiro Lopez in the 23rd minute of play forced Brazil Academy's goalkeeper Nicolas Vidal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cauan Neiva hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Elder da Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nando Quadros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sidney Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Nicolas Vidal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Brazil Academy getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Paulo José de Sena hit a great ball. In the 34th minute Rony Aparecido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elder da Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Goianésia E.C's goal looked a bit too open when César Torres came free, but Elder da Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elder da Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rony Aparecido in the 38th minute of the match. After 42 played minutes Goianésia E.C got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Maranhense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 58th minute, Nando Quadros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elder da Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgílio Dantas, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 64th minute of the match, Rodolfo Souto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Elder da Silva saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 70th minute, Rony Aparecido reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Elder da Silva. The goal made the score 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Goianésia E.C's zone, Nando Quadros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elder da Silva came out of the goal and Nando Quadros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jean Corrêa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicolas Vidal having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Souto in the 84th minute of play forced Goianésia E.C's goalkeeper Elder da Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elder da Silva made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Nando Quadros sent off a good shot on target. Renato Melo lost his temper 94 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 95 played minutes Brazil Academy got a freekick which was hit by Renato Melo. In the 96th minute, Cleiton Rezende sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Brazil Academy's Nicolas Vidal didn't even have to move. The Goianésia E.C fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Brazil Academy were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
