Cristoforo Valerio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fc Molina di Quosa's Carter Lio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Scudieri in the 26th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Fc Molina di Quosa's goal looked a bit too open when Cristoforo Valerio came free, but Carter Lio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to As Melfi 1929 getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Ernesto Cilli hit a great ball. If Cristoforo Valerio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. As Melfi 1929's Dino Iovine proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save As Melfi 1929 from getting a goal against them. Anselmo Di Palma took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dino Iovine. Dino Iovine dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 41 minutes into the match, Cristoforo Valerio notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Fc Molina di Quosa's Carter Lio. Carter Lio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 46th minute Flavio Grieco suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Fausto Scudieri fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored As Melfi 1929's protests and gave Fausto Scudieri a yellow card for diving instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Verdini in the 63rd minute of play forced Fc Molina di Quosa's goalkeeper Carter Lio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Fc Molina di Quosa getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Cosimo Brunelli hit a great ball. 76 minutes into the match, Fc Molina di Quosa's goalkeeper Carter Lio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristoforo Valerio. As Melfi 1929's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
