Spectators: 157 (Terracing: 118, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Aldo Bucciarelli took the kick off in the first half of the match. Eraldo Corvo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beppe Bulla in the 6th minute of play. Diego Ruggieri was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Amos Verna showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. Eraldo Corvo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amedeo Quadrini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diego Ruggieri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aldo Bucciarelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Diego Ruggieri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francesco Scivittaro in the 17th minute of play. Alvise Silveri took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eraldo Corvo. Eraldo Corvo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Eraldo Corvo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amedeo Quadrini, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Alvise Silveri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eraldo Corvo. Cacciola's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alvise Silveri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Cesare Di Ruscio hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Aldo Bucciarelli struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Diego Ruggieri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cacciola. In the 43rd minute, Amedeo Quadrini left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A.S. Trastevere fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Aldo Bucciarelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alvise Silveri to make the kick off. Cacciola's Eraldo Corvo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amedeo Quadrini in the 60th minute of play. After 68 played minutes Cacciola got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Bucciarelli. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldo Bucciarelli in the 76th minute of play forced A.S. Trastevere's goalkeeper Diego Ruggieri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eraldo Corvo was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Attilio Bearzot capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Attilio Bearzot really showed his touch with that goal: 3-4. In the 80th match minute, Cacciola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvaro Contestabile to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 81 minutes, Demetrio Porcu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.S. Trastevere's supporters crossed their fingers, but Demetrio Porcu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 83 minutes into the match, A.S. Trastevere's goal looked a bit too open when Aldo Bucciarelli came free, but Diego Ruggieri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eraldo Corvo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Attilio Bearzot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute, Achille Cusumano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded A.S. Trastevere left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cacciola.
