Spectators: 158 (Terracing: 119, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) Club Puerto Quito's Suscal Carmenes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 minutes of play, Club Puerto Quito's Suscal Carmenes made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Videl Balaunde was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Suscal Carmenes got free with Videl Balaunde in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Club Puerto Quito's Johnny Conill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Veto Trespalacios in the 17th minute of play. After 21 played minutes Club Puerto Quito got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Cintron. Vicente Leon's Videl Balaunde proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Vicente Leon from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Vicente Leon's Corozo Zotes got a free kick in the 29th minute. Suscal Carmenes scored 2-0 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Videl Balaunde, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Veto Trespalacios during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Club Puerto Quito getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Sergio Piña hit a great ball. In the 43rd match minute, Vicente Leon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolando Barrero to maneuver through the defense. Johnny Conill took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José-Luis Henao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Corozo Zotes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Suscal Carmenes notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Vicente Leon's Videl Balaunde. Videl Balaunde was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 55th minute Urki Espino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Videl Balaunde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Vicente Leon's goal looked a bit too open when Oswaldo Barrionuevo came free, but Videl Balaunde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Videl Balaunde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Bonilla in the 60th minute of the match. In the 64th minute Oswaldo Barrionuevo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Videl Balaunde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Videl Balaunde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urki Espino in the 65th minute of the match. Videl Balaunde came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Puerto Quito's Urki Espino. But to his dismay, Urki Espino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Oswaldo Barrionuevo scored 5-0 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Videl Balaunde, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vicente Leon's goalkeeper Videl Balaunde, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 80 minutes into the match, Oswaldo Barrionuevo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Videl Balaunde. Vicente Leon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oswaldo Barrionuevo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Urki Espino put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Videl Balaunde. When the referee ended the match the Club Puerto Quito players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
