Mendez Gamones was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mendez Gamones didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ascencio Lascano went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Fabio Arrillaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mendez Gamones having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maximo Marine in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mendez Gamones saved YerBaTerOs from getting behind. Mendez Gamones showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximo Marine in the 14th minute of the match. In the 17thth minute of the game Maximo Marine who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but YerBaTerOs's Mendez Gamones was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Paulo Zulueta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Eugenio Garray made a huge save. In the 25th minute Maximo Marine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mendez Gamones saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maximo Marine in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mendez Gamones prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 30 minutes into the match, YerBaTerOs's goal looked a bit too open when Ascencio Lascano came free, but Mendez Gamones reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guillermo Raiz charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guillermo Raiz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th minute, Xencio Rabelo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eugenio Garray was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 44th match minute, YerBaTerOs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cortez Ronquillo to maneuver through the defense. Maximo Marine hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rixon Eleizalde got free with Eugenio Garray in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

In the 59th minute, Maximo Marine left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The West Town SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Mendez Gamones made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabio Arrillaga in the 68th minute. Eugenio Garray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uzuri Cuezba in the 70th minute of the match. The supporters of West Town SC booed when YerBaTerOs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Zulueta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maximo Marine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mendez Gamones having to interfere. YerBaTerOs's Mendez Gamones played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximo Marine in the 84th minute of play. Javier Afonte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Mendez Gamones tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th match minute, YerBaTerOs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cortez Ronquillo to maneuver through the defense. During the 96th minute of the match Cortez Ronquillo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Cortez Ronquillo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 97th match minute, YerBaTerOs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cortez Ronquillo to maneuver through the defense. 99 minutes into the match, YerBaTerOs's goal looked a bit too open when Maximo Marine came free, but Mendez Gamones reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over West Town SC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than YerBaTerOs throughout the match.
